Oral-maxillofacial surgeon obtains accreditation

Oral and Facial Surgeon Dr. Bradley Pinker recently received Fellowship of the American College of Surgeons.

He practices with Florida Oral & Facial Surgical Associates, which has offices in Daytona Beach, New Smyrna Beach, and Palm Coast.

The FACS is awarded to the best surgeons dedicated to improving the care of their patients and safeguarding standards of care in an optimal and ethical practice environment.

Dr. Pinker earned his MD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed an internship in general surgery.

Chambers celebrates bakery opening

The Daytona Regional and Ormond Beach Chambers of Commerce will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony and celebration from 4-5 pm on Thursday, December 1 for Nothing Bundt Cakes in Suite 6 at 1425 W. Granada Blvd., Ormond Beach.

The Southeast Volusia Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual meeting on Tuesday, December 6 at 5 pm at the Brannon Center, 105 S. Riverside Drive, New Smyrna Beach.

The meeting will include the installation of the 2023 board members, business awards and Crystal Apple awards.

Volusia/Flagler SHRM 25th Anniversary Gala

The Volusia/Flagler Society for Human Resource Management has updated the date and venue for its 25th Anniversary Gala.

The event will be from 6 to 11 pm on Friday, January 20 at The Hard Rock Hotel at 918 N. Atlantic Ave., Daytona Beach.

The event includes a cocktail hour, food platter, dessert, cash bar, photo booth, DJ, dancing, champagne toast, red carpet entry, and networking opportunities.

The City of DeLand, through the MainStreet DeLand Association, is now accepting applications for the Downtown Grant Program.

The grants are designed to encourage building improvements within the downtown redevelopment area. Additionally, depending on funding, the City offers a Gateway Grant Program.
