RICHMOND, CA, UNITED STATES, Jan. 25, 2023 /EINPresswire.com/ — On September 24, 2022, Black Vines partnered with the Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center and CoBiz Richmond to host its first melanated wine experience in downtown Richmond , CA. Black Vines is a recognized brand promoting a curated network of Black-owned wineries and winemakers. It is the brainchild of innovative visionary, Fern A. Stroud, who in 2010 sensed the need for cohesion in black culture and delivered. Since then, it has become more than an event, it is an exceptional wine tasting experience. The Black Vines presence is now displayed throughout the year to the delight of thousands of attendees.
Black Vines has the distinction of being voted the #1 Wine Festival in the Country for 2021 by USA Today. According to the founder, “Black Vines curates spaces of Black love, Black joy, and Black excellence, spreading love, joy, and peace while acknowledging Black history and focusing on CELEBRATING THE BLACK FUTURE.” It presents a unique platform for artists of all persuasions to showcase their talents in music, food, and art.
The collaborative efforts of Black Vines, the Richmond Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center, and CoBiz Richmond made the fall adventure an extraordinary success, pleasing the palates of everyone in attendance.
Black Vines was delighted to introduce five black wineries:

● Ayaba Wines
● Indigenous Wineries
● Wachira Wines
● Company of Excellence in Black Wine
Additionally, CoBiz Richmond, with the help of its members, featured five local black and brown businesses that added to the flavorful vibe of the gathering:
● Resin Bash (resin decoration for the home)
● Butter Pecan Pastry (Cookie Bakery)
● BRASH (skin care)
● Penrose Apothecary (candles, body oils, perfumes, lotions)
● Peach Bakery and Pastry Shop (Bakery)
According to CoBiz CEO Wesley Alexander, “This event was a success thanks to the collective efforts of all parties.
