Texan Resident Learns What Happens When You Challenge Mother Nature

We’ve all had those days, right? Things are going pretty well, nothing to worry about. You look in the distance and see clouds coming towards you.

You think to yourself, “Don’t worry! There’s no chance it’s going to rain today. It should be fine.” Hell, you didn’t even pack an umbrella.

So as the clouds get closer and closer, you feel a bit overconfident, to say the least. You then decide to look at the aforementioned clouds and proudly proclaim “You won’t ruin my day clouds! I know you won’t rain on me!”

In that instant, you immediately regret your decision. The clouds are closing in and, almost on cue, the rain falls on you. You’re left drenched and feeling kind of silly for defying Mother Nature.

Why do we mention a situation like this? Well, one person in Texas quickly learned that responding to Mother Nature results in some… interesting answers.

Tik Tok Reveals a Pretty Silly Situation

One Tik Tok user, Ducky_1976, learned or relearned the age-old lesson of facing nature in a video posted to the sharing platform:

As the dark clouds sit outside his house, he looks at the simple scenery and says that it seems like the world has ended. Seconds after he states that, the sky proceeds to open up, with rain and hail falling in metaphorical buckets.

The user sarcastically quips “I just had to say something right?” as the video draws to a close. So what’s the lesson we’ve all learned today, fellow Texans?

The 20 Best Restaurants Central Texans Want To Visit Temple

A while back, I asked the good folks at Temple if they could imagine a good restaurant to fill the lot on North General Bruce Drive where the soon-to-be-razed Long John Silver’s stood.

This was before it was announced that a Dutch Bros. Coffee location would open there (which was one of the places I predicted as a contender in our article).

So now Dutch Bros. is open at that location, but the responses to my survey were interesting because they paint a picture of how diverse Temple’s population is. People recommended some familiar restaurants with locations in the surrounding area, but also some I’d never heard of.

These are the top 20 survey results. Let’s see what the good people of Temple are up to!
