Southern Charm’s Madison LeCroy Details ‘Pretty Emotional’ Mexico Wedding, Recalls Rain Mishap, Curling Iron Failure & More

It’s not a wedding without a few hiccups! Madison LeCroy opened up about her special day with her husband Brett Randle, including her mishap with the curling iron and her favorite memory of the ceremony. “She feels great,” the 32-year-old Southern Charm star exclusively told Us Weekly of her married status on Monday, November 21. “I’m a little tired, but I feel great. It was the best day, honestly.” The Bravo personality said “Yes, I do” on Saturday, November 19 in Mexico after being legally married in Charleston earlier in the month. While her tropical ceremony was a day to remember, LeCroy confessed that it didn’t go smoothly. “The weather was not in my favor during rehearsal and sometimes over the weekend. But obviously, when you’re in a tropical place, it’s bound to rain,” she told us while promoting her use of Great Lengths hair extensions on her big day. “[We] I had to end plan B but my wedding planner changed it and I honestly feel like it was a better decision. The rain plan looked just awesome so I wasn’t even upset about it. I enjoyed my time.” Cindy Ord/Bravo The rain wasn’t the only thing that puzzled the stylist. In fact, LeCroy was the victim of a hair failure as he was preparing to walk down the aisle. “I burned my head on my curl the day of the wedding,” he said with a laugh. “So my friend and I were, he was sitting there, [and] we were talking, you know, we were listening to music and I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, you just burned me!’ And we laughed”. The South Carolina native confessed that although she initially thought she would “freak out” when her head was burned, she ended up accepting her idea. “I said, ‘Oh, okay. It’s not going to turn into a blister until, you know, tomorrow,’” she recalled. “Indeed, you know, I’m here right now. We are healing.” LeCroy, who did her own makeup for the occasion, explained that once the nuptials began, everything went according to plan. Her favorite part of her? When her now husband, 35, saw her walking down the aisle. “Seeing Brett for the first time was amazing because we didn’t do a first look. He just wanted that initial, like, us looking into each other’s eyes [moment] being me walking down the hall versus, you know, me tapping him on the shoulder,” he told us. “I don’t regret that at all. It was very emotional, but it was worth it.” The businesswoman noted that she and Randle opted for a “more traditional” affair, which included her spouse’s brother as officiant. The couple also chose to have an intimate reunion, which meant no Southern Charm castmates. “Honestly, I wanted to be able to spend time with these people that, you know, we know as a couple. And that was the whole point. If they didn’t know me and Brett and our relationship that well, then, you know, they just weren’t going to come to the wedding,” LeCroy explained. “Once you start inviting all those people…it’s a snowball effect. I will say that with 42 people at the wedding, it was still a good amount. Congratulations to the brides who have from 200 to a hundred people. I don’t know how you do it. Like that’s a superwoman thing, like crazy.” The couple capped off the evening with dancing, cake and quality time with loved ones, including LeCroy’s 10-year-old son, Hudson, whom she shares with his ex-husband Josh Hughes. “I even had an after party, where we scooped out sand and everyone was like, [standing around] a bonfire with s’mores and people distributed pizzas”, revealed the businessman. “Everything was just better than the next.” He added that despite the rain, the wedding came to a close with an explosive fireworks display for their guests. “I talked to my planner, [and] I was like, ‘What are the chances I can get fireworks?’ I mean, this guy is like, he loves Disney World, so I was like, ‘I want the biggest fireworks show you can give me.’ So I had no idea,” LeCroy said. “And with the rain, I wasn’t sure if it was going to happen. So when I walked him to the last party of the weekend, you know, the after party, I never heard him yell before, but he was like [so thrilled]. So I said, ‘OK, I did it.’ He’s happy.” With information from Christina Garibaldi
