Who doesn’t love tasty Thanksgiving food? With a variety of tasty holiday dishes to choose from, it can be hard to pick just one favorite Turkey Day offering, but stars like Meghan Markle and Taylor Swift have managed to narrow it down to a few favourites. In a previous post on her now-defunct lifestyle website The Tig, Markle dismissed the idea that Thanksgiving is all about turkey and instead shared a recipe. with a different British bird. “If you’re looking for an alternative to the famously lauded turkey dinner that’s so popular this time of year, look no further than this delicious and easy recipe for Cornish game hens,” author Bench, who shares with her son Archie and daughter Lili with her husband Prince Harry, she wrote on the blog. And what is more? The California native stumbled upon that recipe thanks to another star: Hunger Games actor Stanley Tucci. The recipe the Duchess of Sussex referenced was taken from Tucci’s 2014 cookbook, written with his wife Felicity Blunt, called The Tucci Table. Believe it or not, Markle isn’t the only famous face looking past the turkey on Thanksgiving. Chrissy Teigen has long been critical of “dry” protein and typically opts to cook chicken instead. “I really feel like people feel compelled to eat turkey, and no one really enjoys it,” she explained in 2017. “Give them chicken and they’ll be so much happier.” The author of Cravings has also been known to go a little crazy when it comes to Thanksgiving side dishes. Some of her favorites include her mom’s scalloped potatoes and a kale recipe that her husband John Legend’s grandmother, Marjorie Stephens, has been making for more than 60 years. The “All Too Well” singer is another fan of Thanksgiving side dishes, particularly the sweet potato casserole from Del Frisco’s Grill, which has locations across the country. In the past, the “You Need to Calm Down” singer has called the decadent dish “unbelievable.” Even Tom Brady breaks his diet on Turkey Day for the delicious carbs. He revealed his grandmother’s cookie recipe, his favorite. “She’s resting in heaven now, but I’d be happy to know that her tradition lives on in our house,” the athlete shared in 2017. “My cookies don’t taste as good as hers, but after coating them with butter and syrup, it’s harder to tell the difference!” Curious to see what other favorite food stars will be gorging on this Thanksgiving?
