Roundup Rodeo BBQ is coming to Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Andy’s backyard is getting ready for more toys! Roundup Rodeo BBQ will open in the spring of 2023 to welcome guests for delicious barbecue and toy-sized fun. This will be the world’s first “Toy Story” table service restaurant.
Using his imagination, Woody’s Roundup toys, and other toys, Andy built a rodeo restaurant for all his friends. We’re excited for guests to enter the dining room and discover how much fun Andy had in creating a fun spot for the honorary toys to enjoy barbecue-inspired comfort foods served family-style, featuring platters of house-smoked meats, a roundup of side dishes and some miniature sweet surprises along the way.
In this Wild West setting, you can find a steam train held up by crayons, a suspiciously impressive house of cards, and game boards featuring beloved characters from the “Toy Story” movies. To fill the stands at his rodeo arena, Andy has decorated the cardboard box with hand-drawn audience members! The dining room also features the stars of the rodeo: Jessie, Trixie and Bo Peep with their bouncy sheep Billy, Goat and Gruff!
Arriving at Disney’s BoardWalk is the Cake Bake Shop. The shop will offer delicious pastries, cookies, tarts, macarons, coffee, croissants and more as the charming bakery opens its doors soon at the Walt Disney World Resort. Disney describes Gwendolyn Rogers’ The Cake Bake Shop Bakery as follows:
Indulge in the ultimate indulgence
Discover this new bakery with a whimsical atmosphere that complements the idyllic charm of Disney’s BoardWalk. Upon entering, you’ll find counters filled with handmade pastries that are unique in beauty and flavor, attractively displayed on French porcelain trays topped with glass domes. Indulge in these and other delicious bites, such as:
- french macaroons
- dessert bars
- cheese cakes
- And more!
summer house on the lake
Summer House on the Lake is coming to Disney Springs this year. The concept of this location is as follows:
“The California-inspired menu, led by chef Ben Goodnick, features simple ingredients sourced from local grower associations and sustainable produce. Rosé is served all day from the exclusive Rosé Cart, along with an extensive wine list and craft cocktails. And no matter the weather, light and airy vibes always fill the atmosphere. Whether you’re having date night, a family gathering, or brunch with friends, summer is waiting for you on the other side.”
This year Tiana’s Palace is coming to Disneyland!
Tiana’s Palace will be the newest restaurant on Orleans Street. Within its peach walls and elegant green wrought-iron balconies, you’ll find stylish fixtures and details reminiscent of Tiana’s life and friendships. The new Tiana’s Palace will have much of the same dash of pizzazz and flair as the restaurant in the film, offering authentic New Orleans flavors inspired by Tiana’s friends and adventures in this quick-service style restaurant. While Tiana’s Palace is not a place for character dining, guests can find Tiana in New Orleans Square.
The menu at Tiana’s Palace will expand on many of the current favorites served at the venue, explore seasonal flavors, and of course offer some New Orleans classics. Tiana’s Palace is sure to be a gathering place for friends and family to enjoy great food and celebrate together, just like Tiana and her father James dreamed of.
Earl of Sandwich will return to the Downtown Disney District at the Disneyland Resort next month! Soon you will be able to enjoy one of their hot sandwiches on artisan bread again, with takeout options at Earl of Sandwich or table service options at Earl of Sandwich Tavern, both of which will be temporarily located at La Brea Bakery. location. La Brea Bakery is getting out of the restaurant business, and we thank them for two decades of association with the Downtown Disney District. Stay tuned for the Earl of Sandwich opening in the coming weeks!
Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen
While this is not a new restaurant, Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen in the Downtown Disney District at Disneyland is undergoing a makeover. Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen continues the evolution of its Jazz Kitchen Coastal Grill & Patio location. Soon you will be able to enjoy the open, warm and welcoming atmosphere in the outdoor patios, terrace and dining rooms. In fact, recent diners have already begun to enjoy the renovated second-floor space. Jazz Kitchen’s “all day” menu will include the popular Jambalaya Pasta and Ya-Ya Gumbo, plus fresh riffs on coastal-inspired ingredients like the new open-faced Grilled Lobster BLT Po’ Boy. Signature handmade fritters will continue to be a staple, with an expanded menu that includes specialty glazed fritters that are dipped, drizzled and sprinkled in bold and seasonal flavor combinations. Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen is closed for a short time to accommodate continued work in the first floor dining space and will soon be introducing its exciting new menu.
