Princeton Christmas Parade Day ‘Merry Mischief’ Festivities | WPKY 103.3 FM

The Caldwell County Chamber of Commerce has announced a host of fun Christmas Parade festivities that the whole family can enjoy in downtown Princeton on Saturday, December 10.

Chamber Speaker Heather Riley says they wanted to make this year’s parade special with a full day of festivities beginning with a Breakfast with Santa at 6:30 in the Tourism building.

click to download audio At 11:30, the Chamber will host a Chili Cook-Off in the Tourism Building with proceeds going to the HOPE & COPE Center. Riley says they still need participants and anyone who wants to sign up for the Chili Cook-Off can do so by emailing [email protected] or calling her at (270) 625-5985.

click to download audio There will also be cookie decorating with the kids in “Mrs. Claus Bakery” with all proceeds going to the HOPE & COPE Center.

Starting at 1:00 that day, Santa will be downtown with other festivities planned in the library and the Tin Roof.

click to download audio Also, Riley says there will be other activities downtown starting at 3:00 p.m. and before the Christmas Parade at 5:00 p.m.

click to download audio There will be popcorn downtown sponsored by Planters Bank along with Christmas carols at the Caldwell County Courthouse.

click to download audioAnd there will be a snowball fight for the kids in the park and tables will be set up for the kids to make Christmas cards that will be distributed to local nursing homes.

click to download audioRiley says the theme for the 2022 House Christmas Parade is “Merry Mischief.” It will begin at 5:00 with the lineup for the parade beginning at 4:00 in the parking lot of the Butler Building. If you would like to participate in the parade, you can go to the Caldwell County Chamber of Commerce Facebook to find a link to fill out a registration form. She says you can mail the form to the House or give it to her at the radio station.

Immediately after the parade, everyone is encouraged to gather at the courthouse where there will be a moment of remembrance of the 2021 tornado that occurred one year ago.
