Holiday Market Days Starting Saturday at the Burlington County Agricultural Center – Trentonian

MOORESTOWN – The Burlington County Farmers Market is wrapping up another highly successful season with a special two-day Christmas market where residents can find fresh, locally grown produce, delicious seasonal foods, and handmade crafts.

This year’s Christmas Markets will be held on Saturday, November 19 from 10 am to 2 pm and again on Saturday, December 3 from 10 am to 2 pm at the Burlington County Agricultural Center, 500 Centerton Road, Moorestown. Both markets will take place rain or shine.

“Our county farmers market enjoyed another fantastic season and now we look forward to finishing strong,” said Burlington County Commissioner Director Dan O’Connell. “These are traditionally our two most popular markets of the year, and they feature additional artists and vendors. Whether you’re a newcomer to the market or a Saturday regular, Holiday Events are a must for anyone shopping for Thanksgiving or the upcoming winter holidays.”

“The Christmas market will feature dozens of farm and food vendors with a plethora of seasonal produce, cheeses, meats, coffee, baked goods, chocolate, craft beers, fruit and vegetable infusions and more, plus more artists and artisans. than ever before. in any single market,” added Burlington County Commissioner Allison Eckel. “Residents buying their tables for Thanksgiving or looking to get a jump on holiday gift shopping will find it all at this location.”

Farms and food vendors participating in this Saturday’s special market include: 1895 Organic Farm, Bart’s Flowers, Black Sheep Farm, Cranberry Hall Farm, Davidson’s Exotic Mushrooms, Durr’s Blue Box Produce, Little Hooves Romneys, Mill Creek Apiary, Pinelands Produce, Recklesstown Farm Distillery, Boheme Foods, Cheese, etc. and Gourmet Treats, East Coast Patties, Fat Belly Bacon, Fishtown Pickles, Forgotten Boardwalk Brewing, GF Sweeties, GGC Healthy Paws, Jersey Pickles, Jim’s Jarhead Jerky, Kelly Girl Desserts & Cakes, Chocolate Wick, Polish Food from Mom Mom, Our Souls Shine, Peewee’s Ice Cream, Simply Bella’s Simple Syrups, Sweet Melissa Goodness, Tea for All, The Fresh Fuze, Piping Bag Bakery, The Soup Bar, Third State Brewing, Tis So Sweet Bakery, Truly Seasoned, Bakery Wild Flour and Zed’s Beer.

Another 37 artists and artisans will also be at the market to sell their handmade creations.

“All of these are small, local businesses. Buying from our market supports them and our local farms and communities,” Eckel said.

State Senator Troy Singleton also praised the Christmas markets for giving farms and small businesses a great place to market and sell their produce.

“The Burlington County Christmas Market is a fantastic way to start your holiday shopping while supporting local small businesses,” said Senator Singleton. “From unique gifts to treats, there is sure to be something for everyone.”

In addition to food and crafts, the November 19 market will feature a cooking demonstration by Rod Homestead, live music, and rabbits from the 4-H Carrot Club. Toys for Tots will also be collecting new toys to distribute to children in need during the holiday season.

Farmers Markets have been held on Saturdays in the spring, summer, and fall since 2006 and are credited with helping numerous local farms and small business vendors.

An average of 1,073 vehicles were counted at the Farm Center each Saturday this year on market days, including a record 1,470 during the July 16 market this year. The market was also recently voted among the top 10 most popular farmers markets in New Jersey in the American Farmland Trust’s annual survey.

“Word has gotten out about how great our County Farmers Market is and it is now a weekly destination attracting shoppers from across the county and beyond,” said Eckel. “We are delighted with the growing popularity of the market, but what makes us most proud is the boost it provides to local farmers and small business vendors.
