Microsoft Excel 2003 has become the spreadsheet of choice for over 80% of corporate businesses around the world. One of the clear advantages of using Microsoft Excel 2003 over other spreadsheeting programs is the ability to have multiple people entering information into the same spreadsheet. This function in Microsoft Excel is called Shared Workbooks and we will go through how to setup this capability in this article.

However, as weird as that may sound, it is one of the ways that a spreadsheet can help speed things up in the office. Especially if the employee has been working on spreadsheets for a long time that making fast calculations using the cells has become second nature to him. But there are other good uses for this application.
Experienced Excel users will appreciate that textboxes default to having a border and white background. That‘s because they are often used to add comments or guidance to a user and so have to stand out. Otherwise a user would be foolish not to type words directly into the spreadsheet‘s cells. As equations can only be created in textboxes, the default settings are somewhat different; there is no border and no fill.
