Renaissance Festival: The Texas Renaissance Festival at Todd Mission is open every weekend and Friday through November 27 from 9 am to 7 pm Adult advance tickets are $27 plus fees when purchased online or $32 plus fees on the day of the event . Children 12 and under are free on Sundays.

The largest and most popular event of its kind in the state, the festival has been entertaining guests since 1974. It offers food, live entertainment, and games, all with a focus on the 16th through 18th centuries.

Texas Tenors: The Texas Tenors will perform at 8 pm on November 26 at The Centrum, presented by the Cypress Creek Foundation for the Arts and Community Enrichment. Tickets start at $45.

Charlie Robinson: Texas singer-songwriter Charlie Robison will perform at 7:30 pm on November 27 at Dosey Doe The Big Barn. Tickets start at $80 and include a three-course meal served at 5:30 p.m.

Robison released his first solo album in 1996, Bandera. In 2018 he announced that he was retiring after a surgical procedure left him unable to sing. The Dosey Doe website said this performance is a rare retirement acoustic performance and Grady Spencer opens at 6:30 p.m.

Park of light: The Light Park at Hurricane Harbor Splashtown continues daily from 5:30-10 pm through January 1. Admission starts at $29 per vehicle.

The interactive holiday lights drive-through experience includes millions of animated LED lights, including a drive-through tunnel billed as the world’s largest of its kind. All lights are synchronized with music broadcast on a low-power FM radio station that guests can tune into once in the park. A similar exhibit from the same group is also available at Katy’s Typhoon Texas water park.

The Nutcracker: The Houston Repertoire Ballet will perform The Nutcracker at the Tomball High School Theater December 2-4. Tickets for most performances are between $20 and $25.

A family-favorite tradition since 1998, the Houston Repertoire Ballet’s Nutcracker performance includes more than 100 dancers, local children, colorful costumes and an unforgettable score by Tchaikovsky performed by the Cypress Philharmonic. Presentation times are December 2 at 7 p.m., December 3 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., and December 4 at 1 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Christmas Parade: The 2022 Magic of Christmas Magnolia Christmas Parade of Lights is from 5:30-7pm on December 3, beginning and ending in the Magnolia Junior High parking lot.

The parade route runs from Nichols Sawmill Road to Commerce Street and 6th Street to Unity Park Drive and back to Nichols Sawmill Road. The event has many sponsors and local school groups.

Country Christmas: The Cy-Fair FFA Booster Club presents its Country Christmas Craft Show from 9 am to 5 pm on December 3 and from 10 am to 4 pm on December 4 at the Cypress Fairbanks Exhibit Center. Admission and parking are free.

More than 175 vendors and 225 booths will present a variety of goods and services with entertainment from local school choirs. The event also includes chicken bingo, a pie walk, and photos with Santa.

Todd Snider: Irreverent folk singer Todd Snider will perform a three-night series of shows December 5-7 at 8 pm at Main Street Crossing in Tomball. Tickets start at $40.

The barefoot, peace-loving singer-songwriter is back on the road supporting his new album released last year, First Agnostic Church of Hope and Wonder. Snider shares his views on sensitive social issues in mostly rhyming verses and will be at Tomball for three nights.
