Adele’s Las Vegas residency got off to a great start, so much so that she’s already added two more shows!
The Easy On Me singer kicked off her highly anticipated Weekends With Adele residency on Friday night, and it’s safe to say the wait was well worth it.
Adele, 34, broke down in tears when she canceled her shows amid the pandemic, apologizing to fans for not having it ‘ready’.
But it came back with a bang, and now he hopes to see it in 2023 on the Colosseum stage at Caesar’s Palace.
The Grammy winner, who received a standing ovation at her opening show, will also perform on Friday the 30th and Saturday the 31st of December 2022, meaning a few lucky fans will get to spend their final hours of this year with her.
Announcing the new dates, she shared an edited snap on Instagram, which showed her smiling onstage, wearing a pair of 2023 glasses and opening a bottle of champagne.
“New Year’s Eve has always been a downer for me, I always seem to end up spending it in a car on my way to or from somewhere!” she began in her caption.
But not this year!! I’ll be calling 2023 on stage!! I dress to the nines on NYE and would love for those of you who come to do so too! Let’s go with all the black tie vibes.
Tickets for the two additional nights will be available through Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan service.
Registration is open until 11:59pm PT on Monday (November 22) and the Verified Fan presale begins at 10am PT on Wednesday (November 24).
Only fans with a unique code will be able to access ticket sales and tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Factoring in the initial Las Vegas residency ticket sales, the next batch is sure to sell like hot cakes, with scalpers going on to sell tickets for thousands of pounds.
After her opening night in Las Vegas, Adele was emotional, describing her first show as “perfect.”
‘Thank you very much for coming back to me. It looks just as I imagined, it’s just perfect, thank you,’ he told the audience, taking in the spectacular set and packed crowd.
Adding that she was “very nervous” and “happy”, she proceeded to perform her biggest hits, including the Hello and James Bond theme Skyfall, with a piano bursting into flames in the background.
