- Brides usually change twice on their wedding day, one dress for the ceremony and one for the reception.
- However, Porsha Williams, 41, changed seven times for her two-day wedding ceremony that took place this past weekend.
- Friday’s ceremony was a celebration of her husband’s Nigerian culture and Saturday was a white American wedding in Atlanta.
Reality star Porsha Williams recently married Simon Guobadia. She had a star-studded wedding guest list that included her former Real Housewives of Atlanta co-stars such as Nene Leakes, Drew Sidora, Kandi Burrus, and Cynthia Bailey.
The 41-year-old had a two-day wedding celebration and, in true Porsha Williams style, wore seven custom-designed wedding dresses, including traditional Nigerian bridal gowns.

As Simon is from Benin City in Edo State, Nigeria, his girlfriend had to wear a traditional Edo outfit. To celebrate Nigerian culture, the couple had a wedding ceremony on Friday and the next day they had an American wedding ceremony in Atlanta, Georgia.
For her ceremony on Friday, Porsha wore three traditional looks to celebrate Nigerian culture, a red velvet dress with feather details and a headdress called an okuku that featured Benin coral beads designed by Lakimmy. She later changed into a royal blue dress and a gold dress designed by Tabik.

During Friday’s ceremony, wedding guests were also told to wear traditional purple and teal Nigerian attire. The couple provided family members with cultural fabric to make outfits for themselves. “It was a huge task. I personally chose the fabrics they were going to use, including the head wrap, the gele. I chose all the colors, everything. I should be a stylist after this!” she said People.
The wedding celebrations continued Saturday at the Atlanta Methodist Church. Porsha wore a white lace Frida dress to the church ceremony as she walked down the aisle.

Thereafter, she changed into a shimmering cream Albina Dyla gown for the reception. Her reception look was sparkly detailed with off-the-shoulder sleeves that she wore with a shimmering crown and veil.
Before tossing the bridal bouquet, she changed into another dress and then again for the after party. “I thought, ‘Why not? It’s my last wedding forever,” she added.
Their seven wedding dresses weren’t the only extras at the wedding, as the wedding cake was so tall they needed a sword to cut it. “If extra was a girlfriend, it would be me. I promise I didn’t know what this extra was,” she adds.
